RIPCORD “Bass Freq” Bass Guitar Amp

Available for purchase in store or over the phone

The RIPCORD “Bass Freq” is a bass player's dream.

A manageable sized 100w head, packed with all the vintage bass tones you could possibly want! While the Clean Freq and Lead Freq guitar amps are breaking the molds of what a guitar amp can be, the Bass Freq has it’s feet firmly rooted in traditional vintage bass tones that would normally take several amps to really compare, but now can be found in one unique package!

This amp is essentially the best of our favorite old school bass amps, with modifications and redesigns to make it an extremely flexible and dynamic tone machine!

A 100w back end that booms out a specifically designed preamp that outperforms other amps by bringing tone shaping to a new level. The smooth and clean headroom of this amp will keep your rhythm on point. But don’t despair you grit seekers! This amp is 100w for a reason. Crank up the volume and bask in the grind of this tonal beast! Shape your tone, set your volume, and let your playing determine how smooth or how rough you want to sound, the choice is now yours!

This amp also hides a secret, although it’s designed for bass, it can easily be used for guitar as well! A 3-position mini toggle will give you a “deep/neutral/bright” tone option, effectively making this amp your best friend if you’re in a bind!

*The PPIM is a feature that not only acts as a Master, but also as an Attenuator of the signal prior to it entering the power tubes. What this means is that you can mimic the overall output of any wattage amp by setting this control to your desired output level. This linear control acts like this: at full, your amp is at full 100w power, at 12 O’clock the output is 50w, and so on and so forth and anywhere in between! And to top it off, as opposed to Hot Plates and Attenuator Boxes which hurt your output tubes and output transformer by making them work overtime, the PPIM saves the life of those components by attenuating the signal before it gets there! The O.T. and Output Tubes are now working UNDER SPEC! No more power tubes prematurely cooked to death thanks to a Hot Plate!
